LOW Word from Pastor

We are experiencing break-outs and birth pains of revival at Life of Worship. Elements of revival have been felt since the church began; however, a fresh wind of the Spirit has begun to blow since our 21 days of prayer and fasting in January. It is exciting to know that we are staying abreast of this fresh wave that the Lord is pouring out on America.

For the past three weeks our College and Career group has been bombarding Heaven and Earth with prayer and intercession practically every night down at our worship facility. As a result, I am seeing a fire burning brightly in them ignited by the very coals from the altar of heaven. The passion that they are experiencing comes only from having pressed in behind the veil to seek the face of God, and He is blessing their hunger. When many of their peers are hanging with friends, drinking, gaming, and pursuing their own pleasures, this group of young men and women are pressing into new realms in the pursuit of God. God is rewarding their sacrifice with a powerful sense of His presence and pouring out on them the fullness of His Spirit.

What does this mean? I believe it is a wake up call to all of us at LOW. There is a cry from that generation that says the routine, mundane, everyday life is not what we have been created for. The time has come for the people of God to become ignited with passion for the very things Jesus is passionate about. It is a time of repentance for allowing our lives to become apathetic and complacent to the things of God. It is a time to shake up our lives and begin doing a complete spiritual house cleaning. We need to throw out the trash, the dirt, the muck that is pulling us down and away from the calling of God in our lives, and we must immerse ourselves into the very blood stream and heartbeat of the Father. When we are crying out for God to intervene in our lives, then we must be willing to get out of the way and allow Him to release an intervention strategy that brings the deliverance that we seek. In other words, if I want God to move, then I must be willing to be displaced from my comfort zone and live in the uncomfortable. I must remove my limitations of God in order to receive His limitless outpouring. It is the only way to move into victory.

Paul stated it very clearly in Phil 3:10-11 (NLT), “I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!” We say we want to see salvations, healing, miracles, signs, and wonders. After all, these things are to follow believers everywhere according to Mark 16:20 (Amplified), “And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it].” The key connection is in the “suffering.” What level of comfort must I be willing to die to, in order to experience His resurrection power in my life. These young people are learning the truth of this principle. The time that they have devoted to connect with what the Spirit of the Lord is doing at LOW and the Church of Amarillo is being proportionately rewarded with resurrection power and passion in their lives. Connect this to radical obedience and there is no stopping what God will do.

We are on the edge of a great outpouring of revival in Amarillo, Texas. What we are hearing about and seeing on God TV in Lakeland, Florida is to become a reality here. I desire to see a move of God in this city that every church facility, the civic center, the stadiums, and every other conference auditorium will overflow with people seeking God. I believe the time is coming that travelers on I-40, Highway 87 & 287, and I-27 will feel the tangible glory of God so intensely when they drive into this city that they will simply pull over to the side of the road overwhelmed by the presence of the Lord.

We have been given a mandate and a commissioning to take this Gospel of the Kingdom and preach it, to press into the heavenlies and pull down the reality of God’s will upon the earth, and be vessels to carry His glory to a lost and confused generation. The time is here, and the time is now. Join us as we press in and participate with what God is doing.
