We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:21; John 5:39; Matthew 24:35; I Thessalonians 2:13)
We believe there is one God, the creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three persons • the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Philippians 2:6; John 14:21-26; II Corinthians 13:14; I John 5:7)
We believe that God the Father is the creator and sustainer of everything (John 3:16; John 14:28; John 1:14; Genesis 1:1)
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the living Word of God that became flesh born of the Virgin Mary and the Holy Spirit. He was crucified, died and was buried. On the third day, He rose from the dead and later ascended into heaven. (John 1:14; John 1:18; John 1:1; Hebrews 13:8; Luke 1:35; I Corinthians 15:3-8)
We believe that The Holy Spirit is God. He is fully released in our lives by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which happens after salvation. (John 15:26; Romans 8:11; John 16;7-14)
We believe salvation is the free gift of God to man, separate from works and the law. It is entirely by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8; Isaiah 64:6; Romans 6:23)
We believe in water baptism, by immersion. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36-39)
We believe in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper which consists of the elements of the bread and the fruit of the vine. These are symbols expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ; a memorial of His suffering and death; a prophecy of His second coming; and is enjoined on all believers, “Until He comes.” (I Corinthians 11:23-26; Luke 22:19-20)
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance. (John 14:16-17; Acts 2:4; Acts 1:5, 8; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:6)
We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are evident and active today through the believer. (Mark 16:17-18; I Corinthians 12:7-11)
We believe in divine healing-the restoration of health to those who believe and act on the truths written in God’s Word. (Mark 16:18; James 5:14-16; I Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:16-17; Isaiah 53:4-5)
We believe in the resurrection of the just and the return of our Lord. (Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:15-17)
We believe in Heaven which is the everlasting blessedness and reward of the righteous. (II Corinthians 5:1; Philippians 3:20-21; Hebrews 12:23; I Peter 1:4)
We believe in hell and eternal retribution. Each individual’s relationship with Christ will determine where he or she will spend eternity. (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:15)
We believe that the mission of the Church exists to train and equip the believer to carry on the works of Jesus. (Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:11-12; II Timothy 2:2; Hebrews 10:24-25; I Corinthians 12:12-27)
We believe that the method ordained of God to sustain His ministry and the spread of the gospel is through tithes and offerings. (Malachi 3:10-12; II Corinthians 9:6-15; Luke 6:38) (For a complete, uncondensed copy of our Statement of Faith, please email us at low@lifeofworshipamarillo.org)
